Having read and enjoyed Oath Taker, I was eager to see how the story continued and how the author’s style improved. I was not disappointed by either.
I finished the book in a day and a half, which puts this one easily in the ‘couldn’t put it down’ category.
I had to call this one a DNF. I wasn’t drawn in to care about Alessandra and found no redeeming qualities about her. The constant descriptions of what everyone was wearing got repetitive. Had the story alternated between her and the Shadow King, I might have hung with it.
